Is CBD the Same As CBD Oil?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a phytochemical found in the body of some species of cannabis plants. Cannabidiol belongs to the same family as THC, and is the only non-tetrahydrocrocannabinol substance found in cannabis. It is also one of the113 identified, therapeutic-grade cannabidiols in cannabis, making it one of the more valuable ingredients in today’s recreational marijuana market. With few exceptions, CBD is less toxic than THC; however, there have been very few studies assessing CBD and potential carcinogens.

Most of the information on CBD and health conditions comes from observations of people using it to treat a disease or condition, rather than from studies of CBD and its effects on the human body. People seem to believe that CBD is different than THC. This may be because CBD is administered in a vapor form and does not evaporate like THC, although they both have a similar taste. In addition, the CBD does not accumulate in the tissues of the body as THC does, nor does it build up in the blood stream like other cannabinoids. While CBD does not cause intoxication, it does have some disturbing side effects on health.

In clinical trials with small groups of patients, CBD caused anxiety, irritability, agitation, difficulty sleeping and memory loss. In these studies, there was a trend towards increased hospital admissions due to adverse psychiatric side effects, rather than because patients were taking cbd oil. One of the most concerning of these psychiatric side effects was depression. Because it causes the brain to release certain chemicals, CBD has been linked to potentially severe emotional problems including depression. The use of CBD can also increase the risk of psychosis, mania and schizophrenia.

While in animals, CBD has been found to cause ulcers, lesions in the intestines, liver and pancreas, and death in mice; there are no human studies supporting these findings. It has been found that in people with multiple sclerosis, CBD can reduce pain. The effect seems to be more positive for people with more severe MS symptoms. There are conflicting results in human studies with CBD on cholesterol levels, appetite, weight and blood pressure.

With so many people becoming aware of the benefits of CBD, the pharmaceutical companies are seeing an opportunity to make money from it. Many companies are producing CBD oils and capsules. A few companies have exclusive rights to the CBD, while others license their CBD to third parties. Some companies have taken advantage of the CBD industry by selling cheap CBD oils and making claims that they are better for you than prescription drugs.

CBD and THC should not be confused with each other. There is no significant difference between the two, with the exception of some potential differences based upon the way they are administered and absorbed by the body. In most cases, CBD and THC are identical. However, depending upon the type of CBD oil used (and there are hundreds of types), they can have slightly different affects on people with different types of neurological disorders.

One important point that should be understood about CBD: it is very unlikely that it will be able to remove the pain of multiple sclerosis. People with MS often report incredible pain relief using CBD, but the same cannot be said for CBD alone. So, whether you suffer from MS, chronic pain or other serious ailments, you may want to try some other treatments, such as medicinal oils or other forms of therapy. For example, therapies such as massage, acupuncture and tai chi may provide additional therapeutic benefits, as well as reducing pain and inflammation. Learn more about CBD Flowers here.

It is not clear whether CBD will have a beneficial effect on health issues such as anxiety and heart disease, or whether it will have any effect at all. The important thing to remember is that CBD may help reduce symptoms of these and other ailments, but it does not do anything for everyone. What is important is that you find an effective oil that contains CBD and make sure that it is manufactured using pharmaceutical GMP methods. In addition to helping you treat symptoms of your particular condition, an effective CBD product should also be designed to address any other health issues you may be struggling with.
