Waitlist Tickets – When all berths and seats are full, your ticket status will be placed on the waitlist. Under this level, you’ll have to await your ticket to move into the RAC or Confirmed status over a period of time, as others begin cancelling their tickets. The possibility of whether your ticket will go up depends greatly on the path that you’re taking and the time of the month/year. This is because trains that run throughout holidays and weekends are in excellent need, so it’s unlikely that your ticket status will go up throughout this time.
